Thalía supports Latino immigrants in the US through her Radio Show ‘Conexión Thalía’

Mexican actress and singer Thalía, one of the most important Latino figures in the United States, has once more stood out for her actions in favor of the Hispanic community in the US.

According to news website Terra, the 42-year-old singer has used her radio show ‘Conexión Thalía’ to help immigrants who have decided to leave their places of origin to seek a better life in the United States.

Through recommendations and news, the singer, one of the main defenders of the Latino community in the US, tried to support the thousands of immigrants that day by day face great difficulties in foreign soil, since, she says, she has faced great challenges in her two decades of working in the United States.

In an interview granted to Argentinian website InfoBae, Thalía reaffirmed the importance of keeping the Latino community informed of important matters such as immigration reform.

‘I really enjoy helping out our Latino brothers living in the United States through my radio show. We talk about finances, family and we invite experts that are dealing with matters of immigration. They talk about the progress of immigration reform, what President Obama says and also how to avoid traffickers that tell them they’ll get papers for them but only steal their money. Our duty as a community is helping them out’, she told InfoBae.

It’s worth noting that recently Thalía was awarded by department store Macy’s in Herald Square, New York for being one of the most influential Latinas in the United States, for her great artistic career and for her ‘notable contributions to Latinos’ in the US, reported then magazine People en Español.

‘I think nothing is impossible regarding dreams. Many people will tell you you can’t, that you’re incapable, but if it’s in your heart and you feel it, there’s nothing that can stop you. It’s like sunlight, you can’t get rid of it. You have to prepare yourself, educate yourself and take risks. Everything is possible in life. I’ve told millions of times that I wouldn’t make it, but I set goals for myself and I’ve achieved them’, the singer said.
