Thalía goes back on the road after 10 years, 2013 Tour VIVA

Thalía may not have the most impressive bachata moves you have ever seen but she sure makes up for it with her amazing voice and love for her fans. After what seemed to be an eternal break from the stage, the diva is back!

Following a nearly 10 year hiatus, the Mexican author, actress, businesswoman, songwriter and pop singer has announced her new tour, VIVA which will travel to cities in Mexico, South America and the United States.

Last September, the 41-year-old gave a little taste of what was to come in 2013. The singer held a super private by-invitation-only concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan Center Studios. Univision 41 New York gave out 50 pairs of free tickets to people that participated in the sweepstakes.

“I am very excited about this tour. My concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NY was only a teaser of what is to come and I now want to present the tour to my fans who have anxiously waited for it”, the singer said in a Sony Music press release.

According to Milenio, Alto Voltaje in 2004 was the last time Thalía went on tour. Back in November of last year the singer released her latest album, Habitame siempre which according to the singer deals with the processes of searching, liberation and healing, the singer shared with People en Español.

The Huffington Post reported that the singer’s new album has reached triple platinum in Mexico and gold in the U.S.

The tour will begin March of this year. The only confirmed dates are Chicago March 24th, Los Angeles March 28th, Houston March 30th, New York April 3rd and Mexico City April 26th.
