Thalía lights up the red carpet

Mexican songstress Thalía, in a sensual and short dress designed by Roberto Cavalli, and Dominican TV host Charytin Goyco in an elegant black outfit by countryman Oscar de la Renta, turned heads in New York during their red carpet appearances for People en Español magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful issue gala.

Meanwhile, the most anticipated celebrity at the Tuesday evening event, Ricky Martin, who made the elite list again this year and opted for an elegant black and white outfit, granted no interviews to the media, although he posed for photos with a big smile.

According to his publicist, Rondine Alcala, the artist has two numbers on Wednesday in the musical Evita, in which he is starring along with Argentina’s Elena Rogers and American Michael Cerveris, and he preferred to rest his voice.

The popular magazine opted to hold the event this year, where Thalía made the list for the ninth time, at the famous Plaza Hotel.

“The only thing these types of covers and magazines do is to be able to remind people that beauty is an attitude, it’s something that comes from inside, it’s something that a person exudes, that comes from your being”, Thalía said.

The 50 Most Beautiful and other invited guests arrived at the venue amid the shouts and cheers of fans who every year gather starting early in the day to see their idols grace the red carpet.
